SEO Is a Marathon: How Consistency Drove Our Client to Maximum Growth

our work travel

When a brand in the Travel & Tourism industry came to us, they were at the earliest stage possible: a new brand, a new website, no structure, no SEO foundation, competing in a travel niche already dominated by established players.

Their initial asset was simple: ambition anda genuinely good product. Our role was to build the infrastructure and foundation that could carry them toward their business goals.

The First 6 Months: Building a Foundation for Sustainable Growth

In the beginning, we weren’t chasing numbers. We weren’t chasing rankings either. We focused on something far more important: building a digital “home” that was worthy of long-term growth.

The core foundation we built included:

  • Restructuring the website so Google could understand every page clearly
  • Strengthening product pages so they were recognized as service-focused assets
  • Preparing multilingual structures for local optimization
  • Filling product-related content gaps to accelerate early ranking
  • Producing content that wasn’t just product-centric, but relevant to the broader travel industry
  • Building authority through partnerships with credible travel sites

This was heavy work. Technical, deep, and invisible in the short term. But a strong foundation is what supports long-term growth. That is the principle we’ve always believed in.

We Grew Traffic 3x. But Was It Enough?

Three months after the full infrastructure went live, the shift became clear.

Organic traffic grew by almost 300%, in just three months.

By this time, our initial partnership period had ended. The client considered stopping the project because the heavy technical work was done and early growth looked promising.

And we understood. Not every brand can continue investing at the same level once the foundation is in place.

So we adapted: We shifted the scope to maintenance-only (with a significantly smaller budget) while continuing the most critical element for long-term growth: product-led content.

Simple. Stable. Smaller in scale. But still strategic.

They Want to Reach The Sky, We Brought Them to Reach the Stars Instead!

With the strong foundation we built, combined with strategic maintenance…

Their traffic grew 4,351% in just seven months.

At first glance, many might assume: “Ah, the maintenance phase is what caused the spike!”

But it’s important to understand: A 4,000% jump is not a miracle. It’s not “sudden success.”

This achievement was the result of the infrastructure and framework we built from the very beginning, amplified through consistent optimization.

Sometimes I imagine: What if they had switched to another agency at that moment?

A new agency might step in right as the momentum began. To an outsider, it would look like the new agency delivered the massive results, more “efficient,” more “effective.”

But the truth is: The momentum was created by the foundation and strategy we established from day one.

And we’re grateful we adapted our service model and convinced the client to continue the collaboration.

SEO is a marathon. Whoever builds the foundation determines the long-term outcome. That’s why the direction set at the beginning matters so much.

“Traffic Up 4,000%? So What? Does It Actually Help the Business?”

Many agencies stop at vanity metrics:

“Traffic up 4000%!”
“Top 3 keywords increased!”
“Non-branded keywords are rising!”

These are good indicators. They show SEO performance. But they don’t prove business impact.

What makes us truly proud of this project is this:

The SEO Impact on the Product Itself

Product-related keywords increased. Product pages grew significantly beyond the average site traffic.

This means:

  • the brand wasn’t just known,
  • but visited for the right reasons,
  • and SEO contributed directly to business value.

This is the kind of growth that is not just “big,” but meaningful, relevant, and revenue-driven. relevan, bermanfaat. and menghasilkan.

A Common Question:

“If the maintenance work focused on the blog, why did product pages also increase?”

This is an excellent question, and the answer is fascinating.

Even though most of the maintenance effort went into blog production, the growth on product pages was a direct domino effect of proper SEO architecture.

There are several core reasons:

1. Topical Authority Was Strengthened

We didn’t create random blog posts. We built content that:

  • stayed close to the product
  • answered real travel-related questions
  • addressed user confusion
  • reinforced the core service cluster

When Google sees many interconnected pieces of content discussing one domain of expertise, it boosts the entire topic’s authority, including product pages.

2. Clean & Strategic Internal Linking

Our blog wasn’t just informative. It was intentionally structured to strengthen product pages.

Each article provided:

  • additional crawl paths
  • relevance signals
  • authority flow

As the blog grew, product pages rose with it.

3. Google Crawled the Website More Efficiently

With more content and a better structure, Google’s crawler had more “entry points.” Better crawlability → faster indexing → more stable rankings on key product pages.

4. E-E-A-T (Expertise, Experience, Authority, Trust) Strengthened Over Time

Consistent educational content demonstrated:

  • expertise
  • real-world experience
  • trustworthiness in the travel domain

As E-E-A-T grew, Google placed more confidence in the website’s ability to serve users, lifting product pages in the process.

This Isn’t Just a Story About Traffic. It’s a Story About Building a Growth Engine.

This project proves a simple truth: SEO that is built on a strong foundation, aligned with business goals, and executed consistently, can transform a brand’s presence in a highly competitive industry. And we’re proud because:

  • We didn’t just increase traffic, we increased the right traffic.
  • We didn’t just produce content, we built authority.
  • We didn’t chase monthly numbers, we built a long-term growth engine.

In the end, this is the standard we aim for in every project: SEO that doesn’t just look good on reports, but truly helps a business grow.
